Taarifa iliyotolewa siku ya Jumanne, imesema"hakuna sababu za kufikiria iwapo mechi nje ya London zitaathirika ", lakini hayo yalizungumzwa kabla ghasia hazijaenea hadi mji wa Manchester.
West Bromwich itaikaribisha Manchester United siku ya Jumamosi saa kumi jioni, kabla ya Manchester City kupambana na Swansea siku ya Jumatatu saa mbili usiku.
Ratiba za mechi kadha tayari zimeathirika kutokana na ghasia hizo. Mechi ya kirafiki ya kimataifa kati ya England na Uholanzi iliyokuwa ichezwe siku ya Jumatano imeahirishwa, Ghana na Nigeria pia mchezo wa kimataifa wa kirafiki nao ukaahirishwa uliokuwa ufanyike siku ya Jumanne.
Mechi ya kufuzu kwa Kombe la Carling kati ya Bristol Rovers na Watford pia ziliahirishwa kutokana na ushauri wa polisi, kufuatia kufutwa kwa mechi nyingine siku ya Jumanne za Charlton, West Ham, Crystal Palace na Bristol City.

Kwa mujibu wa utafiti uliofanywa na shirika linaloshughulikia maslahi ya watoto la UNICEF karibu theluthi moja ya watoto wa kike nchini Tanzania wanakabiliwa na unyanyasaji wa kijinsia na kuingiliwa bila hiari kabla hawajatimia umri wa miaka 18.

Shirika hilo linasema kuwa watoto wa kiume idadi yao inafika asili mia 13.4.
Kinachotumika sana katika unyanyasaji huu ni kuwatomasa watoto ambako baadae hufuatiwa na jaribio lakutaka kuwaingilia.

"Tanzania ndio nchi ya kwanza kuwa jasiri kufichua tatizo hilo linalowakabili watoto wa kike na wakiume" alisema Andy brooks afisa wa UNICEF.

Afisa mmoja wa shirika hilo Andy Brooks amesema uchunguzi huu ndio uliokamilika zaidi na umeonesha kuwa serikali iko tayari kukabiliana na tatizo hili.
Uchunguzi huu pia uligundua kuwa wale ambao wamejihusisha na mapenzi kabla ya kutimia umri wa miaka 18, asili mia 29.1 ya watoto wa kike na asili mia 17.5 ya wale wa kiume wamesema kuwa mara ya kwanza wao kujihusisha na ngono haikuwa kwa hiari yao.
Unicef inasema hii ina maana walilazimishwa ama kushawishiwa kujihusisha na ngono.
Waziri wa Elimu wa Tanzania Shukuru Kawambwa amesema kuwa serikali imejitolea kukomesha unyanyasaji wa kijinsia na kuingiliwa watoto.
Bw Brooks amesema uchunguzi sawa na huo utafanywa nchini Kenya, Rwanda, Malawi, Zimbabwe na Afrika Kusini.

Mtoto wa Gbagbo ashtakiwa Ivory Coast

Mtoto wa kiume wa aliyekuwa Rais wa Ivory Coast Laurent Gbagbo ni miongoni mwa watu 12 waliofunguliwa mashtaka ya kuhusika kwenye ghasia za baada ya uchaguzi na kusababisha vifo vya watu 3,000.

Watu hao ni miongoni mwa wengi waliopewa kifungo cha ndani na Bw Gbagbo mwezi Aprili.
Mwandishi wa BBC John James wa Abidjan alisema viongozi wote waliokamatwa na Bw Gbagbo wameshtakiwa, isipokuwa yeye Bw Gbagbo na mkewe Simone.
Watu hao 12 wanashtakiwa kwa kushiriki kwenye uasi.
Bw Gbagbo alikataa kukubali kushindwa katika uchaguzi wa Rais mwezi Novemba.
Aliondolewa madarakani baada ya majeshi yanayomtii Rais Alassane Ouattara- mshindi anayetambulika kimataifa- kuingia Abidjan na kumkamata huku akiungwa mkono na umoja wa mataifa na majeshi ya Ufaransa.

Miyaichi granted work permit to play for Arsenal

Arsenal Football Club is delighted to announce that Ryo Miyaichi has been granted the work permit he requires to play first-team football for the Club this season.

The 18-year-old arrived in January and spent last season on loan at Dutch club Feyenoord in order to help his adjustment to European football, while awaiting the clearance needed to represent Arsenal in the UK.

An FA panel met on Tuesday at Wembley Stadium to decide the case and heard from Arsène Wenger, who was in attendance, before granting the work permit on the grounds that Ryo is an ‘exceptional talent’. Supporting testimonials were also sent by the Japan Football Association, which significantly helped the process.

Miyaichi has impressed greatly during pre-season and featured in all matches played outside the UK, but now he has been authorised a work permit which means that he is free to play for Arsenal in the UK.

Upon hearing the news, Arsène Wenger said: “We are absolutely delighted that Ryo has been granted a work permit. This is almost like a new signing for us, as we weren’t completely sure we would be given the authorisation. Ryo has worked extremely hard in pre-season and performed very well during the matches in Asia, Germany and Portugal.

Wenger continued: “Ryo has natural technical ability. He has good balance and phenomenal pace, and his passing and crossing is consistently of a high quality. He is a very exciting player. He had a successful time with Feyenoord in the Netherlands last season, who gave him the opportunity to play regularly, and we’re looking forward to his contribution this coming season with Arsenal.”

Miyaichi will be eligible to play for the first team as soon as the formalities of the paperwork are completed.

What's with all the offbeat, retro-minded British divas hitting our shores? Do the pop-reggae Lily Allen, the folky Corinne Bailey Rae, the classic-soul Joss Stone, and the nouveau-R&B Amy Winehouse represent a new vanguard? Or is it simply that, with domestic innovators like Erykah Badu off the radar, nature abhors a vacuum? Is it a bandwagon effect from Gnarls Barkley's ''Crazy,'' last year's offbeat and retro-minded (albeit American-made) pop-soul smash?
Clearly there's a trend here. Winehouse, a 23-year-old North London bad girl who resembles a tarted-up Sarah Silverman, is already a tabloid phenomenon at home, where Back To Black, her second CD, hit No. 1 on the pop charts in January. And by most any measure, she is the best of the bunch.
First there's her vocal style, which bears traces of Billie Holiday and Dinah Washington in its jazzy phrasing and tonality. It was impressive on Frank, her 2003 debut, even if her melismata needed a shorter leash. But on the tougher, tighter Back To Black, her vocals are reined in and laser-focused.
Much of it is produced by Mark Ronson, a DJ and vintage-R&B fan who has also worked with Lily Allen. His ear for period detail is remarkable, and without leaning on old samples, he makes the disc sound like an oldies mixtape with hip-hop-minded beats. The Motownish single ''Rehab'' chugs along on Wurlitzer organ, baritone sax, and hand claps. ''You Know I'm No Good'' stokes a dreamy groove with old-school Memphis horns. ''Tears Dry On Their Own'' borrows from the Marvin Gaye/Tammi Terrell classic ''Ain't No Mountain High Enough.'' And the title track conjures the Shangri-Las, despite a reference to the male anatomy that surely would've made the '60s girl-group heroines blush.
It's precisely Winehouse's lyrics — smartass, aching, flirty, and often straight-up nasty — that raise this expertly crafted set into the realm of true, of-the-minute originality. There are moments when that originality flags with boilerplate lover's bellyaching (''Love is a fate resigned/Memories mar my mind''). But Winehouse always surprises — dropping a sly reference to Sammy Davis Jr. on the doo-wop-flavored ''Me & Mr. Jones'' or complaining to a girlfriend about the latter's marijuana-grubbing boyfriend on ''Addicted'' (a highlight of the U.K. release, inexplicably pulled from the American CD). All told, it's a near-perfect set that declares not just the arrival of a fully formed talent, but possibly the first major salvo of a new British Invasion. A-

Polisi imetoa kile inachokiita ‘kitakuwa cha kwanza kwa picha za CCTV’ zinazoonyesha watuhumiwa wa ghasia hizo, huku watu 32 wakifikishwa mahakamani kwa tuhuma za wizi na uhalifu wa uliosababisha hasara wakati ghasia hizo zilpoanza.

Miongoni mwa watuhumiwa hao ni mbunifu wa michoro, wanafunzi wa vyuo, mfanyakazi wa vijana, kijana wa chuo kikuu na mtu mmoja aliyeandikishwa kuanza mafunzo ya kijeshi. Baadhi walitoa anwani ambazo si za London. Kumi na wanane walisalia rumande.

Naibu Kamishna Msaidizi wa Polisi Stephen Kavanagh alisema matumizi ya risasi za mpira-ambazo hayajawahi kutumika kabla kudhibiti ghasia England-yatatathminiwa kwa makini katika matukio mengine ya ghasia.

Lakini aliongeza kuwa :"Hiyo haimaanishi kuwa tunaogopa kutumia mbinu nyingine yoyote."
