Most men ask: What do women want? Contrary to popular belief, we aren't all that complicated. In fact, most of my female counterparts just want to be loved by their partner. That includes being respected, adored, supported, and appreciated. Not so bad, is it?
Men, however, are said to be simple. But are they? Do men just want a good meal, good sex, and a beer, or is there more than meets the eye? I believe so. Here are five things single men are looking for in a woman when dating
 
1. That natural chemistry
You heard me right; men want chemistry as much as women do. They want to feel that "umph," that "it" factor that is often indescribable. You don't have to look like a model. They just have to feel that energy. You either got it as a couple or you don't. Oh, and chemistry has little to do with sex.
 
2. A woman who is confident
Strut in with your head held high and men will notice. Every man that I spoke with really appreciates a woman who is confident. They love a woman who knows who she is and is comfortable in her own skin. But don't confuse confidence with arrogance. Humility is best.


3. She's her authentic self
No matter who you are or what you do for a living, you must be yourself. Men can tell when women are trying too hard. Men love women who are genuine. Again, it shows that you are comfortable in your own skin. And that's super sexy.
 
4. You can dress up and dress down
Men are visual creatures. Of course they want to find you physically appealing. Put on a dress and look gorgeous. Put on jeans and a pony tail and still look stunning? Yup. Men are looking for women who can dress up and dress down. You don't have to put on the fake lashes for bed. Let your hair down and show him you are a natural beauty.
 
5. Assertiveness is sexy.
Society expects men to court women. And so do I. A man, however, also enjoys a woman who treats him from time to time. He also likes a woman who is assertive and tells him what she wants. Like one man said to me, "I want a girl that can check me from time to time." In other words, women should also wear the pants when needed. It truly is about balancing the feminine and masculine within. Because a feminine yet assertive woman is a sexy woman.
